It shouldn’t be a shock the Cavs are thinking about offloading some players after failing to make the Eastern Conference Finals each of the last two seasons with this core. But is getting rid of Darius Garland the best option right now?

The Cavaliers are led by Garland, Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen but moving Garland in a lateral move or upgrade could change the team identity. Cleveland has not reached the Conference Finals since the 2018-19 season and have bowed out in the first two rounds in three consecutive seasons.

According to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, Cleveland has already started listening to offers for their starting point guard.
