Former Philadelphia Flyer Carter Hart and four other former members of Canada's world junior hockey team have been acquitted on charges related to a sexual assault case that dated back to June 2018.

Carter Hart will not face prison time after Justice Maria Carroccia found the former Flyers goaltender not guilty on the count of sexual assault. According to media outlets present at the Ontario Superior Court house in London,

The players are unrestricted free agents but will not be eligible to sign with a team until the NHL has conducted its own review.
