Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Friday announced deportation flights had begun to take off from the so-called Alligator Alcatraz immigration detention facility in the Everglades.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis says deportation flights from the remote Everglades immigration lockup known as Alligator Alcatraz began in the past few days.

Alligator Alcatraz is the migrant detention center near the Florida Everglades. New aerial video shows the "small city in the swamp."
