An air quality alert was reported by the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 9:10 a.m. in effect until 11 p.m. for Western Chester, Eastern Chester, Western Montgomery, Eastern Montgomery, Upper Bucks and Lower Bucks as well as Delaware and Philadelphia counties.

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has declared a Code Orange Air Quality Action Day for ozone for Sunday Auguest 10, in Philadelphia, Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, and Delaware counties.

Children, older adults and those with respiratory conditions are urged to avoid avoid strenuous or long activities outdoors on Sunday due to poor air quality.
