Everyone's favorite Aussie, Adam Scott, is in a strong position after the first 54 holes of the U.S. Open. After all, he has form for a flying major finish as he shot a Sunday 65 at St Andrews to come runner-up behind Cameron Smith in the 2022 Open Championship. And he's fourth in putting so far this week, so if he gets on a roll...

Saturday was moving day at the US Open and Adam Scott took that to heart, charging up the leaderboard and ending the day a shot behind leader Sam Burns.

Scott was almost rewarded for the touch as, when he finally took the putt for his eagle, he shaved the hole having felt it was in. The birdie was duly tapped into the cup as the Adelaide moved closer to leader Sam Burns during the front nine of the final round.

Adam Scott is at his 24th straight U.S. Open to extend his majors streak. This is his 96th major in a row and 97th overall.
