As announced in a press release, Yuengling Lager and Flight by Yuengling, a new light beer, are now both available on draft in over 2,000 Illinois bars, including in the city of Chicago.

It only took 195 years, but Pennsylvania-based Yuengling beer — a regional favorite and the nation’s oldest brewery — is finally coming to Illinois.

Attention Illinois beer drinkers: You'll soon be able to sip on beer from Yuengling, the oldest brewery in the United States, but you'll have to get through the holidays first.

Yuengling beer, with its claim to fame as the oldest brewery in America, announced its expansion to Illinois and will have its flagship beers available for sale by late January.
