The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency released a statement Tuesday saying that U.S. Army Pvt. Harland J. Hennessey, 24, of Boonville, was captured and died as a prisoner of war during World War II.

Pvt. Morrison was KIA on Nov. 1, 1918 — 10 days before the end of World War I — and his mother, Agnes Kissick Morrison, of Auburn, was awarded a Gold Star Mothers and Widows Pilgrimage Medal.
