In 2023, the state Board of Regents banned the use of Native American mascots, team names and logos in public schools.

Students will remain as the "warriors," but the mascot and logo no longer depict Kamehameha — the first king of Hawaii.

Aloha has had its King Kamehameha logo since the '60s. Starting this school year the Warriors will have a new look.
