Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center employee, Chynna Sands, delivers the first shipment of whole blood and blood products to the Cy-Fair Fire Department on January 5, 2022, in Houston.

So far, a total of 21 units of whole blood have been administered to 16 patients across the state before they even made it to the hospital to receive life-saving treatment.
