AUBURN — Senior kicker Wes Byrum lined up for a 23-yard field goal that could have brought Auburn within three points of South Carolina last Saturday and clanged it off the right upright.

Auburn answered two straight scores by the Golden Eagles with a 23-yard Wes Byrum field goal to extend its lead to 27-13 with 7:06 left in the game. It was Byrum's second field goal of the game.
