A new Chick-Fil-A restaurant could be coming to Walnut Creek — but not everyone is excited, with some concerned that the popular chain could create traffic issues near a busy intersection.

The Duggans, who anticipate an April opening for the Walnut Creek Original Joe’s, are part of a wave of restaurateurs who want in on Broadway Plaza’s estimated 6 million annual visitors.

Some neighbors are pushing back against the second proposed Chick-fil-A location in Walnut Creek. But city leaders will have the final say on whether or not they should allow it.
