Plan for $150m Town Hall square moves ahead. It's been promised for generations, but today the construction of a public square opposite Sydney’s Town Hall has moved a step closer.

U.S. Rep. Tom Barrett said more than 5,000 people joined the telephone town hall, which he hosted from his Washington D.C. office.
