verona, pa. — Verona police Chief Ron McLemore was assaulted early Monday while responding to a domestic violence call inside Verona Gardens Apartments, according to court papers.

A teacher at Verona High School has been charged with sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child, the Essex County Prosecutor's said on Tuesday.
