A crash on Route 22 East near the Route 191 interchange in Bethlehem Township shut the highway early on Oct. 17, 2022, in that direction. Traffic backed up past the Route 512 interchange.

The plan is to widen both Newburg Road and Route 191 and install dedicated left turn lanes at all approaches to the intersection. New traffic signals will be installed with left turn green arrows.
