Many businesses are diverting parcel shipments to cheaper carriers as FedEx and UPS hike rates and surcharges, according to the latest TD Cowen/AFS Freight Index.

UPS, FedEx Deliveries Taking a nod from the USPS, UPS will shut down its pickup and delivery services on July 4th, and UPS stores will likely be closed as well.

The FedEx Office has modified hours. The other FedEx locations are listed as closed on the Fourth of July. FedEx also lists most locations as closed on its 2025 holiday calendar.
