When planning out our direction for this series of ‘Magic Moments’ features, we set a rule that guitar solos specifically - even the truly majestic ones - shouldn’t be highlighted.

1. "Bohemian Rhapsody" – Queen Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” is often lauded as a rock masterpiece, known for its operatic segments, powerful guitar solos, and hauntingly poetic lyrics.

Harrison mused. “That’s still one of the greatest guitar solos of all time.” Holly’s band name was a point of admiration for the aspiring Liverpool rockers, too.

4. “A Hard Day’s Night” George Harrison has been great at guitar solos since the very beginning, and the 1964 hit “A Hard Day’s Night” is the perfect example of that.
