Grady County still has another 10 years worth of payments on the $10.35 million bonds taken out in 2010, and Johnson said current economic conditions are favorable to refinancing.

Carlos Tobar, Grady County administrator, said the road is so bad that new businesses can’t be recruited to that area. The total cost of the project is approximately $490,000.
