Of the 72,287 GTOs sold in 1969, only 6,833 were ordered with the option. 1970 saw even fewer Judges roll off the assembly line. As GTO sales dropped to 40,149 units, the Judge found only 3,797 homes.

The last true muscle car from Pontiac was the G8 GXP, a super sedan fitted with a Corvette-derived, 415-horsepower 6.2-liter LS3 V8. Pontiac then closed its doors for good in 2008.
