The Doobie Brothers sing "Long Train Runnin'": But you can't argue with their methods. This week, Johnston, McDonald and Simmons will be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

The Doobie Brothers also will play a series of six shows in the U.K. and Ireland in July. The dates run from a July 11 concert in Glasgow, U.K., through a July 21 gig in Dublin.

The Doobie Brothers are taking it to the stage again this summer with a tour to support a new album. The band will release "Walk This Road" on June 6 and hit the road on Aug. 4 in Detroit.
