Local News 2 children among drowning victims at Cedar Creek Lake, officials say A boating accident at Cedar Creek Lake claimed the lives of two young girls, leaving the local community devastated.

Around 8 p.m. June 22, a boat on Cedar Creek Lake lost its power and capsized, Henderson County Sheriff Botie Hillhouse told KLTV. First responders arrived at the scene around 9:30 p.m.

The Henderson County Sheriff says a life jacket was found on that Jet Ski. George's body will be sent for an autopsy. Cedar Creek Lake is located 60 miles southeast of Dallas.
