After coaching the Bulldogs for five seasons, McMillan is expected to replace Williams who left this week for Maryland

Two days after being dumped by Kevin Willard for Villanova, Maryland men’s basketball has moved swiftly and named Texas A&M’s Buzz Williams its next coach. The school announced Tuesday afternoon that Williams will be introduced Wednesday at Xfinity Center in College Park.

Texas A&M has found its 23rd head coach in men’s basketball program history. Samford’s Bucky McMillan will take over the lead role in College Station, the university announced Saturday. According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, McMillan will get a five-year deal from A&M.
