ERIN, Wis. — Nelly Korda’s bid to secure the most consequential triumph of her career fizzled on the back nine in Sunday’s final round of the U.S. Women’s Open. A decisive two-shot swing in that stretch instead allowed Maja Stark to gain adequate separation to claim her first major championship.
