After breaking into the FIA World Rally Championship in 2008 and placing as high as fifth with its SX4 rally car, Suzuki has announced today that it is pulling out of the 2009 WRC series.

Japanese automaker Suzuki Motor Corporation has pulled out of next year's FIA World Rally Championship citing a drop in sales due to the global financial crisis.
