Toad will be getting his very own song in The Super Mario Bros. Movie. During an interview with Variety, Keegan-Michael Key was asked whether Toad gets to sing in the upcoming video game adaptation.

The song is co-written by Black, the film’s directors Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, as well as Eric Osmond and John Spiker. In the movie, Bowser is sitting at his piano belting out the ballad.

And that they did. Several times during the course of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Bowser breaks out into song in order to wax poetic about Princess Peach, who he wants to marry.
