What Stevie Nicks outlines in her comments is seemingly a very real concern. However, it wasn’t for McVie, as she allowed Nicks to waltz in and accepted her with open arms.

In 1990, Nicks left the band. Fleetwood Mac also consisted of Christine McVie and John McVie. After Nicks left the band, she remained close to Christine up until her death in November 2022.

Nicks, 76, and Buckingham, 75, have had their fair share of ups and downs as members of Fleetwood Mac, which also included Fleetwood, Christine McVie and John McVie.

Stevie, Christine [McVie] and Lindsey [Buckingham] only got three songs per record. That’s why Silver Springs didn’t make it on to Rumours.

But casting skepticism aside, Christine McVie’s mother did seem to predict the imminent arrival of California folk-rockers Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham to Fleetwood Mac.
