Are 7 planets having a rare alignment in our night sky? News of this unusual celestial event has been flooding social media in the last several days. But what will you really be able to see?

However, on Friday, Feb. 28, Mercury joins the sky soup, making for a cool seven and upgrading the night sky scene to a great alignment. The last time there was a seven-planet parade was in June 2022.

A rare full seven-planet alignment will be visible in the early night sky between Feb. 22 and 28. We have the tips you need to best see all the planets.
