The spire of New York City’s most famous building will light up in the colors of Wu-Tang Clan, after Mayor Eric Adams declared Nov. 9 Wu-Tang Clan Day for the city.

An LED-powered light emanating from it will be seen from miles away. When it is fully installed on the building's roof, it will bring the iconic structure to its full, symbolic height of 1,776 feet.

One World Trade Center became New York's tallest building a year ago standing at 1,271 feet above street-level. The building then was 21 feet higher than the Empire State Building's observation deck.

Its 275-seat performance hall features the building’s original soaring ceilings and austere woodwork — and has been updated to include state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems.

The Empire State Building will glow pastel colors like a giant Easter egg this weekend. On Saturday, April 3, from sundown to 2am, the building's spire will sparkle and glow assorted pastel colors.

BOISE -- Following some criticism, the new building at 8th and Main will change part of its design. The developer says it will modify the spire by changing the lighting and the material.
