The Yankees are only willing to trade their mashing prospect for Pirates ace — and arguably the industry’s most desirable pitching trade asset — Paul Skenes, and would not include Jones in trade talks with the Marlins for former NL Cy Young winner Sandy Alcantara, according to The Post’s Jon Heyman.

Morosi reported that the Marlins have asked for a return including outfielder Spencer Jones, who is ranked as the Yankees' No. 4 prospect by MLB Pipeline. Any trade to bolster the Yankees rotation would need to take place before the MLB trade window closes Thursday at 6 p.m. ET.

Jones isn't going anywhere. Now the question is whether the Yankees believe his lefty bat can help them in the Bronx in the second half.
