Spartanburg's once-thriving Southside community was ravaged by '70s-era urban renewal. A monument unveiled on June 14 features the community's history.

Mumford & Sons were originally slated to perform at the Piedmont Interstate Fair in October but will now appear with Darius Rucker in Simpsonville.
