Belmont’s South Point High School girls’ soccer team reached its third straight state final, but lost to unbeaten Western Alamance in Friday’s 3A girls’ soccer state championship.

South Point’s defense did the rest with Isabella Goodwin getting the goalkeeping shutout against a high-scoring Knights (20-3-2) offense that finished the season with a 149-18 goal differential.
