The fundamental components of the geologic structure are soil and sediments. Categorizing based on grain size and shape is an important stage in soil analysis in hydrology, sedimentology, and geology.

Micro and macro nutrients, carbon storage, and soil grain size distribution at six commercial solar PV sites were compared to undisturbed control sites.
