Nike says three out of every five people are wearing shoes that are the wrong size. So the sneaker company is launching an app to measure customers’ feet before they order.

Nike says that, according to industry research, over 60 percent of people wear the wrong size shoes. With Nike Fit, the company is hoping to solve that problem.

Nike will begin rolling out the Nike Fit technology on its app -- and in select U.S. stores -- starting in July. An additional expansion to stores in Europe is reportedly planned for August.

Nike estimated that 60% of all people at any given time are walking around in the wrong size shoe. After the U.S. launch, Nike Fit will hit Europe in August.
