Indiana joined the union as the 19th state when President James Madison signed a congressional resolution admitting Indiana on Dec. 11, 1816.

Attorney General Todd Rokita has has won the endorsement of Secretary of State Diego Morales, State Comptroller Elise Nieshalla and State Treasurer Daniel Elliott.
