Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat filed a lawsuit against the county government on Tuesday, alleging they’re violating the law by limiting his control of the sheriff’s office budget.

In an Oct. 21, 2024, letter, Labat wrote he was seeking for the county to provide legal counsel to resolve the issues between the sheriff’s office and the board of commissioners.
