The Getty Villa has reopened almost six months after the Palisades Fire damaged trees and vegetation on its property.

The Getty Villa is expected to reopen Friday on a limited schedule and with a new exhibit after closing in January due to the Palisades Fire.

Although the museum’s artwork was unscathed, roughly 1,400 trees on the property burned during the Palisades fire. Visible traces of the devastation are intentional.
