Savannah Bananas baseball is heading to television. The team and its attendant hilarity are picked up by the CW after building a massive social media following.

LOS ANGELES — Baseball isn’t boring and the CW isn’t stupid, at least when it comes to the Savannah Bananas, the Georgia-based team that has rewritten the rules around the classic American pastime. The network has picked up rights to broadcast the July 27 Bananas game at Citizen’s Bank Park in Philadelphia.

The Savannah Bananas are set to bring their unique brand of baseball to Bank of America Stadium on June 6 and 7 for games against the Party Animals.
