Initially, Looney Tunes launched in 1930 and throughout the history of the nearly-century spanning cartoon, characters like Fudd and Yosemite Sam have always — until now — wielded guns.

The only Looney Tunes character to be temporarily banned was Speedy Gonzales, a small Mexican mouse who was deemed an offensive stereotype and reportedly pulled off the air in late 1999.
