Officer Samuel Riveros, 35, was identified Sunday as the officer who died, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Authorities provided an update on two officers who were hospitalized after being shot by a suspect in Baldwin Park.

A large law enforcement presence will remain in the residential neighborhood and authorities have cordoned off nearby streets.
