The Seattle Seahawks have a new quarterback after signing Sam Darnold to a three-year, $100.5 million contract following his impressive 14-3 campaign with the Minnesota Vikings. However, reports from OTAs indicate Seattle's new QB1 hasn't gotten off to the hottest start.

After trading quarterback Geno Smith to the Las Vegas Raiders, Seattle signed Darnold to a three-year, $100.5 million contract in March. Darnold earned a Pro Bowl invitation last season, when he paced the Minnesota Vikings to a 14-3 regular-season record and threw for 4,319 yards and 35 touchdowns.

Seattle Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald shut down the idea that Sam Darnold could lose his edge as the first quarterback on his depth chart, but rookie Jalen Milroe is still expected to be used in specialty packages.
