A 15-month-old was among several hikers who needed to be rescued Sunday from the Seven Falls area of Tucson's Sabino Canyon, authorities said.

A post on the Tucson Trail Runs Google group from a witness to Wegner's sudden death said the physician collapsed at the first rest room stop just beyond milepost 1 at Sabino Canyon.

For a longer ride, continue on the Red Canyon Bike Trail, which runs 12 miles west from Bryce Canyon City to Thunder Mountain Trailhead. While it parallels Highway 12, the scenery makes it worth it.
