Head coach Andy Toole was at the helm when Robert Morris last went to the NCAA Tournament in 2015. The program earned the right to go in 2020 before the tournament was canceled due to COVID-19.

The last time Robert Morris competed in the NCAA tournament was in 2015, when they defeated North Florida in the First Four and then lost in the first round to the eventual champion Duke Blue Devils.
