River Pointe has grown significantly since its first service held at The Club of New Territory in January 1997. Since then, River Pointe has moved twice to accommodate a growing church family.

Patrick Kelley and his wife, Lisa, founded River Pointe Community Church in December 1996, along with five other families. Since that first service, church attendance has increased to nearly 1,500.

“Taking people from other churches to grow your church is so offensive.” The River is probably best known in the community for its free car show each summer that attracts upward of 1,000 people.
