Rawsonville was a once-thriving trading city on the Huron River between Detroit and Ann Arbor. Founded in the early 1800s as Snow’s Landing, the town was renamed Rawsonville in 1836.
The city is renovating a boat launch and creating a new kayak launch along the Detroit River with the help of a $1.6 million grant from the US Department of Commerce.
