The child is younger than 5 years old and lives in the northwest region of the state, the health department said.

Dan Guisinger was unanimously appointed to fill a vacant seat on the Jupiter Town Council. Guisinger, a 30-year Jupiter resident and planning and zoning board member, was selected from 18 applicants.

18 residents applied for the vacant Jupiter Town Council District 1 seat. A selection could come as soon as May 20. Applicants include two former candidates and two planning and zoning board members.
