Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora announced Saturday that left-hander Garrett Crochet will be the Opening Day starter. Cora also said Tanner Houck will start Game 2 and Walker Buehler will start the third game.

Garrett Crochet made a name for himself with the Chicago White Sox last season, but now he has officially been tabbed as the Boston Red Sox ace to open 2025.
