Over the course of its 22-season run, “Family Guy” has received 32 Emmy nominations and nine wins, including Outstanding Individual Achievement In Animation in 2007 and 2010.

Luckily, the return of Family Guy on Adult Swim isn’t stopping Quahog’s finest from appearing on their regular channels. The series continues to air on Fox with episodes also arriving on Hulu.

While it's undoubtedly on brand for "Family Guy" to get a beloved hero like Elliott on board, the casting came after the passing of Quahog's previous fictional mayor, Adam West.
