Sources confirm Mayor Keith James has chosen Interim Chief Tony Araujo to lead the city’s troubled police department. The official announcement is expected Monday, pending city commission approval.

Village of Clinton Police Chief Tony Cuevas, who has served in the role since 2019, has died. He was 53 years old. According to village officials, Cuevas died unexpectedly on Saturday.

A Troy man has been arrested after police allegedly found him in possession of drugs and a stolen handgun, according to the Troy Police Department. Tony Speight, 29, faces numerous felony charges.
