Due to the threat of inclement weather, the Grand Opening celebration for Phase 3 of the Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park project that was slated to happen Wednesday evening, has been canceled.

The Pleasant Hill Fire Department, along with multiple other nearby fire departments, responded to reports of a fire around 12:30 p.m., city spokesperson Candace Bell told the Register.
