Castiglione created the launch pad for the golden era of OU athletics. The Sooners have won 26 national titles during Joe C.’s tenure, 57.8% of all the national championships OU won in its history.

Texas Tech athletic director Kirby Hocutt worked under Castiglione at OU from 1998-2005 and was college teammates at Kansas State with Brent Venables.

The fast lane in each direction on the Golden Gate Bridge is scheduled to close for three hours a week through November as crews fill in potholes and repair asphalt.
