The speed limit on a stretch of rural road is set to be increased, despite it having previously being lowered due to a fatal crash in the area.

A speed limit change is coming to parts of U.S. 42. The speed reduction will run from Del Haven Avenue east toward River Road will go from 45 mph down to 35 mph.

Starting in July the speed limit on the majority of I-465 will increase from 55 to 65 mph following passage of House Enrolled Act 1461 during the 2025 legislative session.
